Calhoun High School junior Siddhangi Wickramasinghe captured the 2026 Nassau County Championship in Girls Badminton for the second consecutive year on May 10. 

Entering the tournament as the top singles seed, Wickramasinghe once again proved her dominance on the court with an impressive performance throughout the competition. 

She defeated Jericho’s Sandra Chen in a thrilling rematch of last year’s final, 21-16, 21-18, to secure the title.
